Shenandoah FC Elite's Technical Academy.

The purpose of this program is to give top-level players an outlet to train with other top-level players in an effort to develop individual skills and decision making while playing for another club.

Shenandoah FC Elite's Technical Academy is for both boys and girls, that meet the highest skills standards among their peers, as well as have the personal motivation to absorb instruction from top quality coaches.  The players will be offered the ability to participate in an additional technical based training (once a week) along with other players regardless of their age group.

The additional training is designed to challenge those players who are able & personally seeking instruction to help them raise their technical ability to the next level.  We are not looking for motivated parents, but rather, the Player must demonstrate this proactive interest, ability to absorb instruction, and apply new skills learned.

This section seeks to answer most common questions that you may have as well as educate you as to what we’re doing and why we’re doing it this way.

 What is The Technical Academy?

The Technical Academy is an additional training program for selected developmental players, who demonstrate the desire to see the bigger game of soccer and have the goal of eventually raising their technical ability to the next level.

What is the idea behind The Technical Academy?

1.        Basically, the players will be training in an additional technical training program designed to give the top skilled players in each age the opportunity to practice and play in some competitive capacities alongside other players with similar ability levels and to challenge them to continually improve their personal skills & decision making.

2.        Our hope is that when the players participate in the Technical Academy, they will develop and move into the travel soccer program the following year.  They will already be familiar with our coaches and teaching curriculum and ready to hit the ground running.

3.        To reward those players who train hard and are trying to improve their personal skills to the next level and avoid the frustration of carrying the load of their development team when they hit the ceiling of the average ability development teammate. Example: When players are trying to think “team tactics”, but the other development teammates are unable to think at their level.
